Magdalen Paul, MA
Magdalen Paul works with adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults of all ages. Her goal is to lead each client to the most abundant version of themselves, by treating a variety of concerns (anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, life adjustments, trauma, addiction, career/vocational, self-esteem/confidence, relationships) using evidence-based and holistic, person-centered perspectives. Magdalen takes a strengths-based, goal-oriented approach to therapy and believes that each client is the expert on their own life. She aims to provide each client with the skills and tools necessary to ultimately become "their own therapist." Magdalen creates a warm and inviting space for each client, rooted in compassion and empathy, and focused on seeing the "whole person."
Depending upon each client's needs and interests, Magdalen incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as Spiritual/Faith-Integrated Therapy (at client's request). Magdalen obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Saint Anselm College and Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Concentration) from Assumption University, and is working toward becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
