Kerry Lavine, MA
Kerry (she/her) is a dedicated and empathetic clinician who is passionate about collaborating with each client to support them through their journey of growth and healing. Kerry believes that building a strong rapport and meeting clients where they are in the moment is essential to creating a safe, open, and trusting therapeutic environment.
Kerry has experience working with clients of a variety of ages, presenting clinical concerns, and cultural backgrounds. She has experience providing psychosocial rehabilitation services and therapy in private practice settings. Kerry has worked with children, adolescents, and adult individuals and couples struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, interpersonal challenges, issues of identity, life transitions, trauma, body image concerns, and developmental disabilities among other clinical areas.
Kerry’s therapeutic approach is strengths-based and centered around each client’s personal needs. She frequently utilizes techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
Kerry completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lewis University in the Greater Chicago area.
