Karyssa is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with ten years of experience working with children, families and adults. Karyssa aims to provide a non-judgemental, safe and confidential environment where sessions are taken at your own pace.
Karyssa has provided clinical support as a school-based clinician, in-home therapist and outpatient therapist. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, self-injurious behaviors, post-traumatic stress, ADHD, LGBTQ+, grief/loss, ADHD, relationship concerns and caregiver stress. She specializes in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, play and expressive therapy. Karyssa utilizes a strengths-based and solution focused approach to help empower her clients to feel more confident and in control.
Karyssa will take time to learn about your interests, strengths and abilities that can help guide progress towards treatment goals. Karyssa is dedicated and passionate in supporting the transformation of clients from a place of darkness, to a place of hope and new beginnings.
Karyssa earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Bridgewater State University in Psychology in 2012 and completed her Masters Degree in Social Work from Bridgewater State University in 2017.
