Jessie Roffe, LICSW

Jessie uses a relational psychodynamic approach in therapy, which emphasizes that your relationship with the therapist is at the center of the healing process. She primarily works with adults and young adults who are overwhelmed, frustrated, or confused by panic, anxiety, stress, burnout, physical symptoms, or dissociation. She tries to be flexible in adapting to what each client needs. This includes deep listening and reflection, motivational interviewing, strategies to deal with intense distress, and elements of somatic therapy.

As a trauma therapist, Jessie knows that it’s important to approach healing in a gentle, self-paced, and continually regrounding way. Prior to becoming a therapist she spent 12 years in counseling and human services, primarily with the LGBTQIA+ community and folks healing from family/partner abuse. She uses an explicitly anti-oppression lens in counseling, and is a good fit for clients that are exploring and/or celebrating neurodivergence, gender, sexuality, relationship structures, spirituality, and cultural identity as part of the healing and empowerment process.

Jessie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Social Science. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work, with graduate training and supervision in spiritually-integrated psychotherapy (spiritual, existential, religious, and theological issues) for clients who choose to incorporate that.
