Dionne Gaynor-Seepersad, LCSW

Dionne is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) and receives clinical supervision from a therapist with Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) status. Social work is a mid-life career change that complements 25+ years of experience in healthcare. She holds an MSW focused on Advanced Clinical Practice from Walden University and a BS in Counseling with minors in Micro Human Services and Psychology from Lesley University.

Her interest is working with adults across the continuum as they traverse relationship challenges. This includes and is not limited to couples, parents and adult children, siblings, and colleagues. She is sex-positive and has experience working with individuals in alternative loving relationships (ENM, CNM, polyamory, and kink) across gender identities and sexual orientations. She will employ a strengths-based approach to clinical care rooted in unconditional positive regard.

Although she will be using various evidence-based treatment interventions, her favorites are Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Reality Therapy (RT), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). “I will sit in the passenger side of your vehicle, supporting you as you navigate through the red lights, potholes, and orange cones along your journey toward challenge resolution.”

In her free time, Dionne paints, knits, and spends time with a small group of life-long friends. She is also an avid documentary viewer.
